What are BPMโ€™s Tenant Screening Criteria?

  • Applicant must furnish a complete and accurate application.

  • Applicant must be 18 years or older, have photo ID, and have a valid Social Security Number.

  • Applicantโ€™s verifiable income must be at least 3 times the monthly rent amount. If no active income exists, proof of ability to pay is required. All information must be verifiable. Applicant may also be considered in the instance of pre-payment of full lease terms.

  • Applicant must consent to credit check. A credit score of less than 700 as well as notable negative items will require an explanation from applicants and may be used to disqualify an application. A minimum score of 550 is required. If no credit history exists, a co-signer may be required.

  • Applicant must provide prior rental, employment, and personal references.

NOTE:

  1. Applicant may be disqualified for documented landlord / tenant complaints filed with national district justice offices.

  2. Applicant may be denied based on previous negative experience with BPM as a tenant.
