Who Can Apply For Tenancy at BPM?

Anyone! BPM welcomes all types of tenants; both commercial and residential. Whether you are looking for off-campus housing, residential living, or commercial storage space, you are welcome to apply for tenancy with BPM. Applicants are required to be at least 18 years of age or older.

What Are BPM’s Tenant Screening Criteria?

Applicant must furnish a complete and accurate application.

Applicant must be 18 years or older, have photo ID, and have a valid Social Security Number.

Applicant’s verifiable income must be at least 3 times the monthly rent amount.  If no active income exists, proof of ability to pay is required.  All information must be verifiable.  Applicant may also be considered in the instance of pre-payment of full lease terms.

Applicant must consent to credit check.  A credit score of less than 700 as well as notable negative items will require an explanation from applicants and may be used to disqualify an application.  A minimum score of 550 is required.  If no credit history exists, a co-signer may be required.

Applicant must provide prior rental, employment and personal references.

Applicant may be disqualified for documented landlord / tenant complaints filed with national district justice offices.

Applicant may be denied based on previous negative experience with BPM as a tenant.

How Long Does The Application Process Typically Take?

On average, the entire application process is completed within 10 days of our office receiving a completed application for processing. This is contingent upon verification of income and references.

What is BPM’s Policy Regarding Pets?

Pets will be considered based on the preferences of the owners whom we represent.  All pet breeds must be approved by owners’ insurance company (Prohibited pet breeds include:  Shaffordshire Terrier—commonly known as Pitbull—or any Staffordshire Terrier mix, Rottweiler, Doberman, Akita or Chow).  An additional deposit will be required for all pets, as well as a signed pet agreement.

Assistance or Service Animals are not considered pets and are considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with all applicable laws.
